Minomigaoka Lava Plateau, which is the location of Ito city office, offers a sweeping view of the hot spring town.
Two towers for the repose of souls lost in tsunami are erected on the premises of Butsugenji Temple. One is for the repose of those who died during the Genroku Earthquake of 1703, and another is for the victims of the Great Kanto Earthquake that occurred in 1923. Originally located elsewhere, the towers were moved to Butsugenji Temple due to demands of construction work and other reasons.
