Volcaniclastic flow and pumice stone of a submarine volcano; an open sea cave
The cliffs of Dogashima Coast offer sights of subaqueous volcaniclastic flow and the pumice stone and volcanic ash layer which piled up upon it.
The beautiful layers of white volcanic ash are among the most distinguishing features of Dogashima. A large open topped sea cave (Tensodo–designated as a natural monument) is also located in the area. Visitors can walk upto the cave along a trail or take a boat that enters the cavity.

- Take an express bus from Rendaiji Station of the Izu Kyuko Line (40 minutes), or from Shimoda Station of the Izu Kyuko Line (1 hour), or from Shuzenji Station of the Izuhakone Railway (90 minutes). The location is 3 minutes on foot from the nearest bus stop (Dogashima).
