Information on the Disaster in the Kumomi District of Matsuzaki Town Caused by Typhoon No. 8

Due to the heavy rain caused by Typhoon No. 8 which directly hit Shizuoka Prefecture, Ota River, which flows through the center of Kumomi district in Matsuzaki town, flooded around 7:00 AM on Sunday, August 14, and about 30 guesthouses, etc. were damaged by inundation below/above a floor level. Water pipes and hot spring pipes were also damaged, and many houses in the district were without water or hot water.
