The Izu Peninsula Geopark and Tourism Bureau (Chairperson: Takeshi Toyooka) will collaborate with LaLaport Numazu to hold the following summer events for children. By providing children with opportunities to experience diving and to touch the unique sands of various coasts on the Izu Peninsula, we hope to promote Izu Peninsula as a marine resort, which is a part of our concept "Geo Resort Izu", and to promote Geo-tourism.
Contents: ➀ Diving experience (there is a space for changing clothes in a tent)
[Cooperation: Geo Guide Association (Mr. Kazuya Asakura), Tabata Inc., and Logos]
・Diving experience by entering a temporary pool with a diving mask
・Being in the water for about 15 minutes at a time. The pool can accommodate 3 children at a time.
・No reservation required. Applicants will be accepted on the day.
*Swimsuits and towels are not available for rental. Please bring your own.
・It is a quiz to guess which coastal sand the observed sand is based on observation of the sea sand on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula through a microscope.
・If you answer all the questions correctly, you will receive a "Beach Sommelier Certificate".
Date: Saturday and Sunday, August 27 and 28, 11:00 to 15:00
(last reception for diving experience is 14:30)
Venue: LaLaport Numazu (301-3 Toara, Higashishiiji, Numazu City)
Fee: ➀ Diving experience: 500 yen including tax per person (cash only)
②Beach Sommelier: Free
Eligibility: Children above 3rd grade in elementary school, but Diving can be experienced by children younger than them if the size of the equipment fits their body.
Access: JR Tokaido Line "Numazu Station", take the bus at the south exit bus stop No.8 or No.9 and get off at "LaLaport Numazu"
