Izu Hakone Geo Train No.5 – Train Exhibiting Photos of Scenic Spots Taken by Nirayama High Students to Run from December.3 –

On December 3, the Izu Hakone Railway Sunzu Line will begin operating the Geo Train, inside which photos taken by Nirayama High School’s Photojournalism Exploration Club will be exhibited. This is the fifth such project, following the fourth, produced by Izu Chuo High School, which ran until October. The high school students themselves selected photogenic spots on the Izu Peninsula, and this exhibition presents their own photos and their photographic methods. We hope to pique the interest of passengers and encourage them to actually visit the spots.

A total of 20 types of stickers will be posted inside the train, while the sign on the front of the train has also been designed by the students. Photographs and introductions to geosites such as Kakita River and Ryugu Sea Cave were created by Nirayama High students and supervised by the Geopark Promotion Department of Beautiful Izu Creation Center.
