Tokai Bus to Donate ¥112,120 for Geopark Activities – A Portion of Liqueur Sales to be Given for Geopark Research and Conservation –

Tokai Bus Co., Ltd. will donate ¥112,120, a portion of its sales of liqueurs last year, to Izu Peninsula Geopark and Tourism Bureau (Chairperson: Takeshi Toyooka).

In past years, starting in fiscal 2016, the company has donated money to the Izu Peninsula Geopark Promotion Council's conservation and research fund for Geopark activities.

Yoshiharu Konno, the company’s president, will present the money at the Mishima Civic Cultural Center (Conference Room 1) at 2:00 PM on the 12th.

This donation is based on an agreement the company signed on January 2015 with the Izu Peninsula Promotion Council to (1) donate 10 yen per bottle for one year's shipments of New Summer Orange Liqueur (” Umeera!” and “Umeera Light”) and (2) use the Geopark logo on its products.

Shipments last year came to a total of 11,212 bottles.

The Izu Peninsula Geopark and Tourism Bureau will make effective use of the entire donation to finance research and study projects at Izu Peninsula Geopark, which was recently revalidated as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
